In this blog, I'm sharing our all-time favorite children's books and media (and toys!) -- the ones I love and highly recommend, would buy again, have read over and over, and would give as gifts.
There are many wonderful children's books available -- this is a collection of our family's favorite discoveries. The books we share are books we own or have borrowed from the library (and didn't want to return!)
My boys are ages six months, almost three and four and a half years old. The media we share are geared for those ages. (Along with a few things mom reads and loves.)

It's time for bed, little mouse, little mouse, Darkness is falling all over the house.
Time for Bedby Mem Fox, illustrated by Jane Dyer, is a soothing bedtime board book for infants and toddlers. With gentle, repetitive phrases and nighttime illustrations of young animals being coaxed to sleep by their parents, it's a wonderful nap or bedtime read for human parents to share with their babies. I love the gentle phrases and detailed drawings of the adult and baby animals, cozy in their homes and under starry night skies.
What a wonderful book to for a first read with your daughter! That's awesome. I'm drafting a post about our oldest son's first book (The Little Engine that Could). I hope to schedule it for his fourth birthday.

This was the first story book we read our now-5yo daughter - we read it to her the day she was born. We love it!

My son's favorite bedtime story was Goodnight Moon
